Guide to Hidden Mickeys

The ? History of Hidden Mickeys

Okay, listen up. There is not much information available about the origin of Hidden Mickeys. The first published sighting of a hidden Mickey was reported in 1989 by Arlene Miller at Walt Disney World. Apparently they originally served as road markers for the park.
Now Mickeys hide just for fun. I love Hidden Mickeys. Do you? Mickeys are hidden where we don't suspect. THey're always in the background. The reason there are some Mickeys in the parks is that they help Disneyland guests know where fun things are located.
"It was all started by a mouse," said Walt Disney, and hidden Mickeys remind us of that. Mickeys are hidden everywhere: sculptures, painted pictures, drawn pictures, mosaics, murals, negative space, wrought iron, patterns, shadows, and the placement of props.
